LOVELAND PASS

This day was truly unforgettable. Starting at 3am, we met at the top of the pass to begin our ascent. Deborah and Matthew road-tripped from TX to CO and headed straight to 11,000 ft. Those of you who have experienced such drastic elevation change know that it takes a toll on your lungs, but they killed it!

We made our way up the short, but steep hike to the 13er waiting for us at the top. Our hike included breathtaking views of the milky way and a jaw-dropping sunrise once we were close to the summit.

Here in CO, it's so common in late Spring for the temperatures to still be frigid with heavy snow on the peaks — once the sun greeted the horizon, the wind picked up and was whipping at the top of the mountain with a frigid wind chill. Deborah and Matthew bravely changed into their wedding attire, shared a first look, and read their vows atop of the peak before we headed back down to pop some champagne and enjoy a 9am picnic.

It was such an invigorating experience getting to be one of the sole witnesses to Deborah and Matthew's marriage. I am beyond excited for these two and their future together, thank you endlessly for choosing me to document such a special day!
