You know when you watch and/or create something and it gives you this deep ache in your soul because you love it so much? Bree and Ash’s story does that for me. This was the first elopement we’ve ever shot without a photographer present. Bree and Ash hired the incredible Adventure Instead to document the first half of their day and hired me to document the second half.

It’s such an insane feeling as a videographer to know that your footage is their sole documentation of those moments. This video is the experience they will share with their friends and family to finally unveil the secret they’ve kept for months — to finally introduce themselves as each other's wives, something they, many alongside them, and many before them have passionately fought for.

They started the morning with a 10-mile sunrise hike, and then met up with me to exchange their intimate vows, then we ventured off to our epic afternoon through the park, and ended by celebrating the day with a home-cooked meal at a tiny home on the side of a mountain.
